...Throw down the mic, friend, you have said it all.<br /><br />The danger of putting Republicans in charge is not that their policies will be a little more unpleasant for a few years than they would have been under the Democrats, but that they have the potential to uncage forces that will rampage across society for a generation. Look at how much suffering we still have due to Reagan's policies. The harsh fact is that the Democrats are committed to the rule of law, a concept that the Republicans dismiss with derision.<br /><br />I personally believe that the Republican wave from 1980 is a spent force, having no new ideas and only negative support, but that does not mean we can let down our guard - not even for a minute.
