Zandar's Thought Of The Day

Record high for this day in Cincy?  92, set in 1970.

Today's official high temp?  95.

But Al Gore is fat, so drive your SUV some more.

  1. Yes take a look at a span of days, the Earth goes through warming and cooling periods. Why do you think they changed the name of their scientific proof from "Global Warming" to "Climate Change"

No a new record means Al must be right!! Even when it gets cold it proves Al's right!

Wow you really are an idiot...

  2. I'm much more subtle about calling you an idiot, coming right out with it just isn't my style.

Plus I do think we have an impact on the environment, to what extent is where the debate begins and until one hypothesis is proven no one can make a claim as to what is fact.

  3. How do we prove a hypothesis in applied climate science? There's an entire planet to worry about. Unless somebody has a spare Earth to work on, we can't "prove" anything in climatology.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't try to limit that impact.

  4. Yes but to what extent? If you don't know the extent of the damage being caused how do you know how to react? You could knee-jerk react and tax everyone on carbon emissions causing in essence inflation. You should be able to look at the temperatures recorded for the last several decades, the problem is it's not conclusive, not even "almost sure" thus not proving the hypothesis. We are one of the most environmentally friendly industrialized nations. So we are taking steps.
