Zandar's Thought Of The Day

If The Atlantic's resident "reasonable conservative" Conor Friedersdorf had actually been paying attention to the emo left, he'd have figured out that this actually logical statement:

Hillary Clinton is poised to be the candidate of continuity. Like Bush and Obama, she would govern as an executive-power extremist, is implicated in the civil-liberties transgressions of recent years, and would almost certainly seek to expand rather than rein in post-9/11 powers given to the national-security state.

...has nothing to do with Clinton's policies or logic or continuity and everything to do with the fact the emo left loves her because she's not Obama.

Will the Left turn on Obama?

Jesus Christ, where has this guy been the past five years? The Left gave Obama a five minute honeymoon and has been crapping all over him ever since.

Didn't he notice Jane Hamsher and the Firebagger crusade against the ACA?

Or the hysterical ninnies of dailykos.com and their global freakout over Snowden and his national security leaks?

No really existing liberal president could ever be pure enough to satisfy the emoprogs, so they have committed themselves in advance to an extended campaign of monkey howls and feces tosses against whichever unlucky soul moves into the White House in 2017.

    Bet on it.

  2. I don't want Ms. Clinton because she's a Clinton... I didn't want Obama because I knew he'd continue the worst of both the Clintons AND Bush II. And I was right...

  3. Well, if an actual Democrat could possibly get in... But only fake Dems that are actually Moderate Republicans, like Clinton and Obama are allowed to 'win'.
