I think what they were trying to run was a unexclusive poll. Something along the lines of "Would you support Sarah Palin?" "Would you support Mike Huckabee?" "Would you support Mitt Romney?" instead of "Who would you support (the most): Palin, Huckabee, or Romney?"
Putting it on a pie chart, though? That just makes it look freaking stupid.
Also, making the pie chart in clean thirds that do not (although unsurprisingly, if you look at it like I said) correspond at all to the stated percentage? Not smart either.
I do a fair amount of works with graphs and data, although I'm no economist, and the watch word for our business is "pie charts are the worst fucking graph you could possibly use". I'm glad FOX took the time to remind me.
