I've said a number of times that reconciliation should and can be used in the case of health care. After all, Republicans have used reconciliation on health care bills in the past, and have even wanted to use it to drill for oil in ANWR in Alaska.
But don't take my word for it. Take the word of Republican Sen. Judd Gregg making the case in 2005.
Bonus fact: Republicans controlled the White House, the Senate, and the House in 2005. They had no problems "ramming through things" using reconciliation then.

Again you fail to see the point, ramming things through is politics, ramming something through of this magnitude goes a bit over the line.
Partisan politics will always happen but we're talking about 1/6th of the US economy, it's kinda a big deal.
But hey reconcile it and when the idiots who did it get kicked to the curb in November we'll get real change next January. Happy new year!
Orange julius is that you?You do remember the tax cuts that cause the sh#t we in right now that passed thru reconciliation?
This clip should be spread all over the Internet and used in Dem advertising to support the concept of reconciliation, assuming they go through with it, which they need to do.

The point is that since health care is already 1/6 of the economy and is out of control, action is needed now, not later. If 1/6 of the vehicles on the road were having problems with acceleration and brakes, would we say, let's don't be too quick to address that because it's 1/6 of the vehicles on the road? Think Toyota. No, we would be jumping all over it and demanding recalls. Sound familiar? The 1/6 argument just doesn't make logical sense, it is in fact a call-to-action or should be.
Cars are different the congress thought. Cars you can identify the problem and agree on the solution. Your comparison is complete and total fail. Also Toyota is Government owned because lets face it, if it were they wouldn't have produced a car yet, they would be too busy arguing over the color of the interior.
Go team Government!
