Although drone strikes are less inflammatory than Israel's incessant attacks on Gaza, they both have the effect of helping ISIL/ISIS and other radical groups with their recruiting efforts. It's like fighting cancer with surgery alone: chopping out the big parts merely results in spreading malignant cells throughout the rest of the body.
