Around The Horn

In addition to VA and NJ Governor and NY-23's special election, there are a number of other votes to watch today including:
  • Maine voters will decide whether or not to overturn the state's same-sex marriage law as well as deciding on legalizing medical marijuana.
  • Washington state has a similar measure on the ballot to Maine's on overturning the state's "everything but marriage" civil unions law.
  • New York City, Atlanta, Houston and Boston pick mayors.
As I mentioned earlier today from a local standpoint, Cincinnati picks a mayor and city council, Dayton's mayor is up for a vote and Ohio has three statewide ballot issues, one on a bond referendum to pay Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, one on allowing casinos in Ohio, and one on creating a Livestock Care Board to regulate the care of farm animals in the state.

I'll be updating those results later tonight and tomorrow.
